Timing is a flawlessly curated blend of jazz harmony, dreamy pop synths and a nostalgic lo-fi aesthetic infused with neo soul undertones. With vocals smooth as honey, Angies voice weaves through a sonic palette of lush strings, alluring guitar lines, warm horns and thick bass grooves. There’s a comfort in lyrics that don’t need a ton of deciphering to understand their meaning and the lyrics in this album are just that, easily understood. Spanning very human topics of patience, self love, deep emotional acceptance and unbounded love, Timing invites the listener to ponder their own experience and learn to “trust the timing.”
